The EASA Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical) is a 90 weeks program which includes 1164 hours of practical maintenance training at Aviation Australia’s fully owned world class hangars. Students who successfully graduate will qualify for a Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (recognised Australia wide) and an EASA Certificate of Recognition (recognised world-wide for the purpose of the EASA Part-66 Licence application). If you are interested in kick-starting a career that will allow people to fly safe around the world, this is the right course for you. As a mechanical student you will learn Aviation English, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic and Electrical fundamentals while also progressing into more complex and mechanical related modules such as Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems, Gas Turbine Engine and Propeller. The practical maintenance training designed for this course will expose you to individual and team tasks in a live hangar where Aviation Australia’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineers will sign you off on your fully owned Journal of Experience.

Academic Suitability: Evidence of completion of Year 12 or equivalent, with a pass in Mathematics (at minimum Year 10 or equivalent). Where an applicant does not meet these requirements, Aviation Australia may consider sufficient relevant work experience (documented via a resume and referees) and/or a successfully completed higher level qualification that demonstrates academic suitability. Minimum of 17 years of age: Applicants under the age of 18 may be accepted where it is demonstrated they will be under approved guardianship arrangements. This arrangement requires the approval of the Department of Home Affairs.
