This double-degree major program leads to a bachelor of applied science degree and a bachelor of business administration degree.

The Business major program is in the Beedie School of Business. During the course of your BBA program, you will choose to specialize in at least one of eight concentrations (Accounting, Innovation and Entrepreneurship , Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or Operations Management).

Applicants need a minimum of 60% in Senior Mathematics for admission (based on a 50% pass scale); Other equivalent qualifications: Diploma/Certificado de Técnico de Nível Médio (formerly, 2° Grau) OR Diploma / Certificado de Professor (grades 1 to 4). Submit transcript which includes interim marks for senior year. Admission is calculated on senior level academic subjects. Other English Language Requirements accepted: A minimum TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based).

Applicant must have completed Year 12 High School or its equivalent to Canadian High School.

Admission is normally via the mechatronic systems engineering major (MSE). Students are admitted based on a CGPA of 3.0 obtained on the first 30 units of the mechatronic systems engineering major plus ECON 105. Otherwise, MSE majors may later gain admission by meeting the competitive requirements for entry into the Beedie School of Business.

Obtain a satisfactory score on one of the following English language proficiency tests.

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5 on the Academic Modules with no part less than 6.
  • TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language internet based test) with an overall score of 88 or better with a minimum score of 20 in each of the four components (listening, speaking, writing, reading)
  • TOEFL CBT (Test of English as a Foreign language computer based test) with a minimum score of 230 including a minimum essay score of 4.5
  • TOEFL CBT with a minimum score of 250.
  • Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) with an overall score of 70, with no part less than 60
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall score of 65, with no part less than 60
