Canadian Studies is concerned with the creation, evolution and expressions of Canadian identities. This program will give you a solid understanding of the origins and transformations of the multiple Canadian identities that have been shaped by history, economics, geography, and socio-political developments. During the course of your studies, you will gain creative thinking skills, research and analytical capabilities, written and verbal communication skills, and cross-disciplinary understandings.

As a Canadian Studies graduate, you will be prepared for career opportunities in areas such as civil service, the non-profit sector, and the business world. A degree in Canadian Studies can also be used as a stepping-stone to graduate studies or another professional degree such as law, medicine, veterinary medicine, or education.
