Our Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).

What You’ll Learn

Civil Engineering students at Lassonde learn about structural and foundation design, transportation systems planning and design, water resources management, wastewater treatment, and environmental impact assessment. In addition, our graduates receive training in new emerging areas, such as innovative materials and construction technologies, infrastructure rehabilitation, computer-aided simulations, sustainability, natural hazards, and climate-change-driven engineering.

Students have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of technical electives in Civil Engineering:

Professional experience through co-op option after second year can give you an early start towards becoming a licensed Professional Engineer.

Applicants must hold a US Grade 12 diploma plus SAT and/or ACT examination scores. Other English Language Requirements accepted: York English Language Test with a Overall band: 1-5; TOEFL: Computer-based: 220,Paper-based: 560; Test de français international(TFI) with a Overall score: 785.

Para estudantes internacionais

Students need to have: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD); Six 4U/4M courses, including ENG4U, NBE4U or FRA4U. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Canada.

YELT (YORK ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST) - Overall band: 1-5

TOEFL (TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE) - iBT: 83

IELTS (INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SERVICE) - 6.5
