Brock is the only university in Canada granting a specialized Bachelor of Sport Management (BSM) degree. Our program has an outstanding reputation within the sport industry for the quality of our students and graduates.

We offer a cutting-edge program where you’ll thrive through academic challenges and experiential learning opportunities. Our focus is on the application of theory, principles, and practices of business to the sport industry. Field placements and internships in your third and fourth years offer significant career-building experiences.

We maintain active connections with our Sport Management alumni, providing our classes with guest lecturers and key networking, internship and employment opportunities.

At graduation, you’ll be prepared to be hired directly into the sports industry or to pursue postgraduate studies such as an MA, MBA or LLB. The range of opportunities extends throughout the private, public and not-for-profit sectors of all sports. Our graduates are employed around the world within the broad business of sport.

The requirement for graduation with a BSM (Honours) is a minimum 70 percent major average and a minimum 60 percent non-major average. The requirement for graduation with a BSM is a minimum 60 percent major average and a minimum 60 percent overall average.

The program is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding sport industry and incorporates experiential opportunities for students. Students will be prepared for sport management career opportunities that include marketing, public relations, promotions, communications, human resources and financial, facility and event management in a variety of public, commercial and non-profit organizations.

Applicants must have Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in your home country; academically rigorous grade 12 year; Minimum B- average (higher for some programs). Applicants who have successfully completed the IB diploma with the appropriate prerequisite subjects will be considered for admission. Students must have completed a Certificado de Conclusao de 2 Grau/concurso Vestibular. English proficiency requirements: IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0, TOEFL - overall 88, with minimum 21 on speaking and 21 on writing, MELAB - overall 85, no other part under 80, CAEL - overall 70, no other band score under 60, IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program.
