Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure Fanshawe College

The Information Technology Infrastructure graduate certificate will focus on the practices and skills currently being used in support of the IT infrastructure. Students will gain valued knowledge and experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, Windows server administration, virtualization technologies and network and security devices. Students will also have the opportunity to develop communication, interpersonal, project management and business skills to work effectively in the corporate world.

The program will include hands-on applications and simulations to provide students with marketable skills in operating systems, networks, and security and will contribute to preparing the graduate to write a variety of professional certification exams.

This program will provide a pathway to Fanshawe's graduate certificates in Information Security Management, Network and Security Architecture, and Software and Information Systems Testing.

Career Opportunities:

Graduates of this program will be employed in the computer support field as a Desktop and Application Support Technician, Computer Technician or Help Desk Technician. They are employed by computer hardware manufacturers and retailers, software developers, in call centers and in Information Technology units throughout the public and private sectors.
