O que eu aprenderei?

The Joint M.A. Program in Peace and Conflict Studies (JMP-PACS) encompasses:

  • the analysis and resolution of social conflicts
  • peace research that examines the structural roots of social conflicts, divisions, and social inequalities
  • strategies for building community and promoting social justice

The Joint M.A. program involves a combination of coursework and either a thesis or comprehensive exam. The program is supervised by the Joint Discipline Committee (JDC), consisting of faculty members of the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg.

Para estudantes internacionais

Applicants require a four-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) earned in either (a) peace & conflict studies; or (b) another related discipline. The appropriateness of the baccalaureate degree will be determined by the Selection Committee.

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL - Achieve a minimum Internet-based -iBT (86; minimum score of 20 in each of reading, writing, listening and speaking categories)
  • IELTS - Achieve a minimum score of 6.5 in the Academic Module
  • PTE Academic - minimum 61 overall
