O que eu aprenderei?

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Data Processing and Reporting program are prepared to assume roles entering and organizing data in an office role. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to use various electronic data applications, while gaining hands-on experience to organize data, visually present data, develop basic data reports, validate accuracy of data and support digital marketing platforms. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, you will develop the workplace interpersonal skills needed to support all phases of your career. A field placement is included; allowing you to translate theoretical knowledge from the classroom into applied practice in a workplace setting.

Evaluate personal values, strengths, and career opportunities to identify career goals and set a personal career plan.

Develop and follow a professional development plan to improve personal work performance and maintain occupational relevancy.

Employ professional workplace behaviors to locate and maintain work.

Apply critical thinking strategies to solve problems and make decisions in the workplace.

Apply interpersonal skills and strategies to work collaboratively and respectfully in the workplace.

Discuss issues related to workplace laws, organizational structure, and ethics that impact job maintenance and employee rights and responsibilities.

Communicate both orally and in writing to facilitate clarity, efficiency, and professionalism in the workplace.

Apply typical computer knowledge and skills required by business, including word-processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets and presentation applications.

Apply basic business mathematics to business processes.

Apply appropriate tools and strategies to efficiently and accurately conduct data entry and error checking tasks.

Manipulate data using data management software to create basic data reports.

Graduate Opportunities

Graduates may find employment as data entry clerks, data assistants, administrative assistants, marketing data assistants, order entry clerks, stores clerks, dispatch assistants and order entry clerks.
