This interdisciplinary program involves the application of engineering principles and design concepts to the solution of specific problems in medicine, veterinary medicine, and related fields. The dominant areas of research interest among our faculty include:

  • Bio-Medical Science (biomechanics, bioinformatics, injury)
  • Bio-Engineering (tissue engineering, biomaterials, drug delivery)
  • Medical Imaging and Diagnosis/Intervention (MRI, synchrotron imaging, imaging process)

While at the University of Saskatchewan, you will have access to state of the art facilities, labs, research centres, and the Canadian Light Sources.

A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study. A cumulative weighted average of at least 65% (U of S grade system equivalent) in each of the final two years full time study (e.g. 60 credit units U of S equivalent) of the undergraduate program.
