O que eu aprenderei?

Electro-mechanical technology is an important field that has great potential in the industry today.

Also known as mechatronic engineering, this programme combines mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer technology, telecommunications, robotics and control to deliver a unified system.

This area has become the backbone of industries, especially in the manufacturing industry since microprocessors and microcontrollers are used in industrial control.

This programme is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

What will I learn?

Students will be exposed to a mix of both mechanical and electrical related subjects including electric circuits, analog and digital electronic circuits, electrical machines, instrumentation, microcontrollers, Programmable Logic Controllers, industrial automation, pneumatics, hydraulics and process controls.

This programme focuses more on technical or hands-on skills which is favoured by the industry. You will undergo 6 months practical training in the final semester.

What should I expect?

This programme is designed to produce skilled workforce in this growing area. It encompasses a robust theoretical and practical training to prepare students to face the world of work.

You will be exposed to a whole range of hands-on learning where you will be operating machines and working in labs.

This industry may involve working in all kinds of fields, especially in the manufacturing sector. The job prospects can be in the medical field, food and beverage, workshops, airports, factories and many more.
