O que eu aprenderei?

This specialisation focuses on aspects of European Law - such as human rights, the internal market and the Union's external relations, from a substantive and an institutional law perspective.

The programme is designed for students who wish to specialise in the important and rapidly developing field of European law. The programme is taught in English and attracts students from around the world.

The content of the master's programme is connected with that of the Law Faculty's research programme: Securing the Rule of Law in a World of Multi-level Jurisdiction. Briefly stated, the research programme addresses the question as to how the rule of law (i.e. democracy, protection of human rights, adequate legal remedies) can be maintained when the law is formed at several levels.

After graduation

This master will provide students with a profound knowledge of European legal integration. It will equip them with the skills necessary for a successful legal career in the private and public sector. Alumni have found employment in the EU institutions, international organisations, national and local government, private business and commercial law practice. Across the board there is a need for young well-trained professionals with knowledge and sensitivity for questions of European law.
