If you achieve First or Second Class First Division Honours in your BSc(Hons), youll be eligible for direct entry to a PhD. Postgraduate study in Applied Mathematics focuses on mathematical and computational models to formulate and solve real-world problems from a variety of areas within science and technology. From analysing the most efficient way to schedule airline routes between cities, to the effects and safety of new drugs, applied maths is a good foundation to apply alongside many other sciences. You will learn how to build mathematical models, how to formulate mathematical ideas for useful modeling, alongside learning about the solutions of models.Exercise Sciences focuses on how and why humans move. Exercise Scientists study the mind, muscle, mechanics and metabolism of the human body and the role of exercise in human health. Exercise Sciences is a discipline that focuses on how and why humans move. The dual role that exercise and science play in understanding how physical activity, rehabilitation, sport and movement contribute to sustainable health, provides the foundation for studying Exercise Sciences. There is a growing demand for people who can not only research and analyse performance techniques, but can also work as allied health professionals to maximise human performance to improve general health and wellbeing through exercise.
