The modern society relies on the work of Chemical Engineers who develop and design the processes that make the useful products for the society by efficient use and management of resources including water and energy while controlling health and safety procedures and protecting the environment.

Chemical Engineering provides essential tools based on the concept of sustainability and low carbon footprint for changing raw materials into useful products in a safe and cost effective way. Chemical Engineers understand how to alter the chemical, biochemical or physical state of a substance, to create everything from health care products (face creams, shampoo, perfume, drugs) to food (dairy products, cereals, agro-chemicals) and water (desalination for freshwater) to energy (petroleum to nuclear fuels).

Your study at MSc level at Bradford will be a foundation for life aimed at developing a deep understanding of advanced technical principles, analytical tools, and competence in their application together with a wide range of management, personal and professional skills. For first class degree classification students need to have bachelors degree with grade value of 3.5/4.0; For 2:1 degree classification students need to have grade average value of 3.0/4.0 and for 2:2 degree classification students need to have grade average value of 2.5/4.0 are considered. You will need to achieve an Overall Band score of at least 6.0*, with at least 5.0 in each of the four sub-tests (speaking, listening, reading, writing) or 5.5 in each of the sub-tests if you require a Tier 4 visa.

Para estudantes internacionais

2.2 equivalent bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering. IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent. Students need to have an overall TOEFL score of at least 80, and sub-tests not less than 18 in Reading, 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking.
