O que eu aprenderei?

The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering is a qualification which will provide you with a range of technical skills and knowledge enabling you to either gain employment or progression into further training within the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sector. This qualification is included in the Advanced Engineering Manufacture Apprenticeship framework. It can help you to progress in a wide range of engineering maintenance roles. This course is also accredited with UCAS points which can be added to existing or future points for entry into University.

During the course you will study the following: Health and Safety; Principles of Engineering and Engineering Maintenance and Maintenance of Machine, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems. To pass this course you will complete six units. Three units are theory based followed by an end exam. The other three are half practical and half theory with an end practical assessment and also an end theory paper exam. Places are offered by interview.

There are many opportunities within the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sector for employment. You can also progress to a Higher Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, or continue your studies and work towards Higher Education. The qualification is also listed on the Engineering Council’s public database for technician related qualifications as having been approved by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as contributing to the requirements for professional registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech).
