The Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Digital Production for Film and Games offers a dynamic and hands-on learning experience designed for aspiring creatives looking to build a career in the film or game development industries. This program equips students with a solid foundation in core digital production techniques, which they will develop and refine within their chosen specialism-either Film Production or Game Development.Throughout the course, students will explore key areas such as:● Pre-production and planning: Mastering storytelling, scriptwriting, and project management techniques.● Digital tools and technologies: Gaining proficiency in industry-standard software and equipment for film editing, visual effects, 3D modelling, animation, and game engines.● Production techniques: Applying camera operation, lighting, sound design, or game mechanics and level design.● Collaborative projects: Working with peers to create professional-quality films or games, mirroring real-world industry practices.● Post-production: Fine-tuning digital assets with advanced editing, compositing, and rendering workflows.Students will apply their learning to real-world scenarios and projects, creating a portfolio of work that showcases their creative and technical abilities.
