Overview
If you are working with children in an Early Years setting or if you would like to work with children as you gain your degree then the Foundation Degree in Early Years (0-8) offers students an exciting opportunity to work and study within the sector.
If you aspire to work with children in a range of settings, then this degree will support you in developing the necessary knowledge and skills to improve outcomes for children and families. The degree has a child-centered approach with an emphasis on a culture of inter-agency working. Through the degree programme you will be given opportunities to develop the appropriate professional attributes, knowledge and understanding required for the care and education of children within national and international contexts, and to provide transformational educational experiences to meet the needs of children and their families.
The course has two pathways:
Pathway one FdA Early Years (0-8) pathway offers those who already have full and relevant status to further develop their professional practice.
Pathway two FdA EY (0-8) (Professional Practice) pathway this offers those students who wish to gain full and relevant status alongside their degree.
