If your dream is to become an illustrator and you need a bit more foundational work to help you get there, our four-year BA (Hons) Illustration degree is perfect for you.We believe the best illustration is based on exciting, original ideas, and you'll achieve that through drawing, text, sequential design, book production, moving image and more.This four-year course includes a preparatory year (Year 0) that provides a focused introduction to illustration. As well as a wealth of fundamental skills, you’ll develop a personal style and learn business and self-promotion skills to help you build a career as soon as you graduate.You’ll be taught through studio-based projects, workshops and a lively programme of visiting speakers, skills-based workshops, pop-up exhibitions and external visits. Students need to have one of the following: US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus SAT scores (if taken in 2016 or later) of 1160 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus SAT scores (if taken before 2016) of 1600 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus two or three Advanced Placement tests with scores of 3 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus ACT scores of 24 or better; US Associates Degree; a transcript showing completion of one year of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised American university.
