The BA (Hons) Performance and Contemporary Arts is for aspiring artists and performance creators who want to shape the future of theatre, performance, and the arts. You’ll explore innovative ways to make performances and challenge traditional methods.
The programme covers diverse art forms, from visual arts to design-led practice, helping you become an expert in your chosen medium. Mentored by industry leaders, you’ll develop your artistic identity as a performance-maker, artist, producer, researcher and change-maker. You will be part of an inclusive, vibrant and supportive community and gain strong industry connections. Through studio-based learning, creative projects and external collaborations, you’ll have the chance to test ideas and receive feedback. You’ll also learn to critically analyse performance and its social impact, and gain skills in producing, activism, and cultural leadership.
Graduate Employment
Our graduates work across arts and culture sectors, as artists, policy makers, producers and in leadership capacities. Some of our graduates also work across sectors in film and television, design, heritage as well as fields as diverse as international relations, for social justice organisations and in policy-making.

Our standard academic entry requirements range between 120 and 96 UCAS tariff points. As part of meeting these tariff points, we consider a range of qualifications including A Levels, BTECs, T Levels and many more. IELTS Academic. Minimum score 7.0 overall. No lower than 6.5 in each component.
