With input from Robert Gordon University, this 10-week programme was created to equip you with the tools needed to succeed in your postgraduate-level studies. On successful completion, you will progress seamlessly onto your chosen Master’s degree in computing. Cyber Security is a fast-paced and ever-changing field in which to specialise. This degree will teach you how to design and maintain secure information systems and networks. You will also gain the knowledge and skills to prevent, protect and minimise cyber security threats and incidents. This degree will provide the core knowledge and skills required to work within the IT industry. If you are a non-computing graduate who would like to pursue a career in IT, this course will extend and enhance your existing skills and knowledge using software development tools and techniques. If you are a non-computing graduate, this degree will help you develop the specialist skills needed to pursue an exciting career in IT, with a specialism in business intelligence. There are nine IT labs in the School of Computing, and this is where you will put your skills into practice. Whether or not you are a computing graduate, this course teaches the core computing and cyber security knowledge and skills needed to work within a technical IT environment. The School of Computing has its own Cyber Security Lab – a dedicated space for networking, equipped with specialised kit.
