O que eu aprenderei?

Arts Studies is an Interdisciplinary Studies major that allows students to develop a foundation in one of the arts and, on that foundation, learn the social or technological applications of the arts in a modern world. Examples include computers and the arts, scientific illustration, arts management and arts education.

Students take 21 credit hours of Foundation Courses, the purpose of which is to lay the foundation for building links among the arts and between the arts and other human concerns. These courses must be in the same arts area, one of the following: Film Studies, Music, Theatre or Visual Arts. In addition to taking these 21 credit hours, students take 6 credit hours of production/studio courses, 6 credit hours of linking courses, an advised elective, and a Capstone course.

The major and concentration provides students with the background to pursue many career fields related to the arts, from art production, such as film or music production, to arts management, arts administration, arts criticism, and arts education.
