Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) / MBA - Master of Business Administration

In partnership with the Texas Tech University School of Law, the J.D./MBA program is designed for highly motivated students interested in the intersection of law and business. This program provides a solid foundation for you to advance your career whether you hope to start your own practice or seek to master the legal and ethical side of managing a business. Through this program, you can earn both degrees in three to four years. This is made possible by allowing 12 credit hours of approved law courses to transfer as elective credit toward your MBA and vice versa. Rawls College graduate coursework is not computed in a student's Texas Tech Law School GPA or class ranking. You will work with advisors from both colleges to ensure all graduation requirements are met for each program. Law students may begin the dual program either the summer prior to the first year of law or the summer after the first year of law. Applications must be approved by both the School of Law and the Rawls College of Business. The Rawls College of Business provides Microsoft Office Excel Specialist certification. All MBA programs are lock-step please work with your MBA advisor for course scheduling.
