This degree is for students who desire a professionally oriented education and training in design and technical production, acting and directing. Based on a student’s previous undergraduate or professional experience, substitutions or revisions in the study plan might be appropriate. Average length of time to complete the program is three years. The Department of Theatre and Dance is a highly regarded program, both regionally and nationally, and has received numerous awards and citations. Its highly skilled professional faculty and staff prepare students for all facets of the Industry and academia. Performance graduates have appeared on Broadway, national tours, regionally and in a variety of themed entertainment, while designers and technicians have gained recognition at a multitude of venues in the area and across the nation.

You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

You must meet the following requirements:

Above average class standing at an internationally accredited college or university: the equivalent of at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale is recommended.

In addition, students must have an undergraduate major in music or the equivalent of an undergraduate music major (i.e., 29 undergraduate units in music appropriate to the students concentration).

TOEFL: 550 or 80 iBT

IELTS: 6.5
