The mathematics education major is a joint program in the Department of Mathematics and the School of Education’s Teaching and Leadership program.
Committed to the integration of theory and practice through university-school partnerships and extensive field-based experiences for all students, the major engages students in both the conceptual understanding and procedural fluency of mathematics while also preparing them to teach and instruct math skills in the classroom.
