NYITCOM’s Osteopathic Medicine D.O. program trains physicians for a lifetime of learning and practice based upon the integration of evidence-based knowledge, critical thinking, and the tenets of osteopathic principles and practice. Offered at our Long Island, New York campus and Jonesboro, Arkansas location, our program helps you develop the complex and critical behavioral, social, and clinical skills required in modern medical practice. Our curriculum incorporates critical factors-from anatomical to societal-that affect the nature of illness and patient outcomes.You will have opportunities to conduct research and to develop specializations in global healthcare, population health, and advanced medical technologiesCoursework integrates biomedical and clinical sciences using innovative teaching methods led by dedicated, accomplished faculty from across multiple specialties. Cutting-edge medical simulation, virtual reality, robotics, and other technologies support a robust academic curriculum. Clerkships in your third and fourth years will provide clinical exposures and practices in a wide variety of settings and practice areas, from one-on-one preceptorships in a physician's community practice to serving as a team member in a department of a large hospital.

To be eligible for admission into New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), you must:

Have a baccalaureate degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Candidates from a college where a formal articulation agreement exists for a combined degree are an exception to this requirement.

Have taken the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). We will accept official MCAT exam scores from March 2015 and after.

The following minimum scores required for full admission to graduate programs are:

IELTS score: 6.0
TOEFL (iBT) score: 79
Pearson PTE score: 53
